WINCHESTER, VA – Christopher Newport's men's tennis squad swept Shenandoah in a USA South match Wednesday afternoon.
In singles, John Mook (CNU) defeated Cody Jarrell 6-0, 6-1 at No.1; Eddie Glidewell (CNU) defeated Travis Dohm 6-0, 6-0; John Braig (CNU) defeated Julian Fehr 6-0, 6-0 at No.3; Kevin Repper (CNU) defeated Evan Lowery 6-0, 6-1; Dylan Young (CNU) defeated Drew Evans 6-0, 6-0 at No.5; and Tommy Harris (CNU) defeated Peter Baggar 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles, Glidewell and Mook (CNU) defeated Jarrell and Lowery 8-0; Harris and Repper (CNU) defeated Dohm and Fehr 8-5 at No.2; and Chris Scott and Young defeated Evans and Baggar 8-2.
Shenandoah falls to 2-9 overall and 0-5 in the USA South. The Captains, winners of four in a row, are now 13-3 on the year and 4-0 in conference play.
Christopher Newport returns to action Saturday when they host VA Wesleyan at 9 am and Methodist at 2 pm.
