PEACHTREE CITY, GA – Christopher Newport's men's tennis squad swept regional rival Millsaps 9-0 Saturday afternoon at the Peachtree City Tennis Center.

In singles, Eddie Glidewell (CNU) defeated Murphey Parker 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1; John Mook (CNU) defeated Campbell Hughes 6-2, 6-2; Jacob Braig (CNU) defeated Tim Shoptaugh 6-4, 6-1 at No. 3; Lorenzo Sison (CNU) defeated Wes Hill 6-4, 6-3; Ricky Connor (CNU) defeated Chris Rolen 6-1, 6-4 at No. 5; and Dusty Nelson (CNU) defeated Trevor Harris 6-3, 6-0.

In doubles play, Mook and Glidewell (CNU) defeated Hughes and Shoptaugh 8-2; Nelson and Sison (CNU) defeated Hill and Parker 8-5 at No. 2 and Jacob and John Braig (CNU) defeated Harris and Rolen 8-1.

The Captains improve to 6-1 overall while Millsaps falls to 5-7. CNU returns to action Sunday when they take on the University of the South at 11 am.
