NEWPORT NEWS, VA – Christopher Newport's volleyball squad swept a pair of USA South matches Saturday afternoon in a quad match at the Freeman Center.
CNU defeated Methodist in the first match, 3-0, by scores of 25-5, 25-6 and 25-16.
Allie Wolfe led the way for the Captains with 15 kills. She also had five digs and four aces. Ryann Lowery finished with 21 assists and nine digs as Mary Horner had 10 digs.
In the final match of the day, Christopher Newport swept Greensboro, winning by scores of 25-13, 25-12, and 25-10.
Wolfe once again led the Captains, finishing with eight kills and eight digs. Lowery finished with 20 assists and Horner finished with 13 digs.
Christopher Newport is now 17-4 overall and 11-0 in the USA South. CNU hits the road next weekend as they head for St. Louis, MO for the Washington University Invitational.
