HARRISONBURG, VA – Christopher Newport's field hockey squad snuck past home-standing Eastern Mennonite 1-0 Saturday afternoon.

 

The Captains Brianna Milne scored the game's only goal on a penalty stroke in the 62nd minute.

 

CNU out-shot the Royals, 17-8. Elexa Nosonchuk had three saves in the cage for the Captains.

 

Eastern Mennonite falls to 7-4 on the year while Christopher Newport is now 8-3. CNU returns to action Wednesday when they host Lynchburg at 4:30 pm.
