NEWPORT NEWS, VA – Christopher Newport's volleyball squad saw its 12-match winning streak snapped with a 3-2 loss to Salisbury Friday night at the Freeman Center.

The Sea Gulls have now won 22 straight and took the match by scores of 26-24, 24-26, 17-25, 25-21 and 15-12.

Liz Bush led CNU with 15 kills. Ellen Koch added 13 kills and Allie Wolfe finished with 10 kills and 18 digs. Mary Horner finished with 22 digs, Jessie Heavenrich had 29 assists and 15 digs and Ryann Lowery added 21 assists.

Salisbury improves to 22-1 while CNU falls to 15-3. The Captains return to action Saturday by hosting a USA South Quad Match. Christopher Newport will play Methodist at 11 am and Greensboro at 5 pm.
