SALISBURY, MD – Christopher Newport's women's soccer team saw its three-match winning streak come to an end with a 2-1 loss at Salisbury Tuesday afternoon.
All three goals were scored in the first half. Salisbury took a 1-0 lead in the 26th minute on Sarah Schmidt's goal with Dana Passucci assisting.
CNU's Sam Ciaravino scored her fourth goal of the year unassisted to tie the score just over a minute later.
The Sea Gulls Christina Eury punched home a rebound in the 28th minute for the game-winner.
The Captains out-shot Salisbury, 17-12. Erin Wojtkun had five saves in net for Christopher Newport.
CNU returns to action this Saturday as they hit the road to take on Greensboro with kick-off set for 12 pm.
