FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- After starring throughout a historic regular season campaign, six members of the Christopher Newport women's lacrosse program picked up first-team All-League accolades, which were announced by the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference on Thursday morning.

Brookelyn Morrison hauled in top plaudits for the fourth straight season, while Kate Lamendola, Faith O'Connor, and Gabby Saia were recognized for the second consecutive year. Rounding out the honorees, Molly Campbell and Elena Sorkin received All-League laurels for the first time.

With her award, Morrison added her name to an exclusive list of legendary stars. She became just the eighth Captain to be a four-time, first-team All-Conference selection. In that club, she joined CNU Hall of Famers Meaghan Galvin, Meghan Harkey, Kaitlin Quigley, and Ashton Marshall as well as longtime standouts Kristen Conques, Elaine Kirby, and Kelsey Winters.

Meanwhile, the six first-team selections equaled the second-highest total in program history, trailing only the seven award-winners from 2025.

Orchestrating a breakout campaign during her second season with the Captains, Campbell has been a mainstay on the midfield unit throughout the spring. Starting all 18 games, the Cockeysville, Maryland native has made an impact on both ends of the field. On the back side, she ranks seventh in the league with 25 caused turnovers, including six strips against Roanoke on February 21. For that performance, she was celebrated as the conference's Defensive Player of the Week on February 23.

Along with her defensive work, Campbell has also produced 19 points, including 11 goals. Among her efforts, she notched four points in the season opener against Berry on February 13. She has also contributed three multi-goal eruptions while collecting at least one point in 11 of her appearances, including three battles against nationally-ranked competition.

Adding another chapter to her decorated career, Lamendola has picked up right where she left off last season. A reigning All-American, she has been a consistent contributor throughout her junior campaign. On the offensive end, she boasts 26 points, including 20 goals. Flashing her firepower throughout the year, the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native has scored at least one goal in 14 games, including four daggers during a win at No. 6 York (Pa.) on March 21. 

Just as dominant on the defensive end, Lamendola has 25 takeaways and 23 ground balls. Among her efforts, she has multiple strips in eight of her outings, including a season-high four caused turnovers against St. Mary's (Md.) on February 28. She also pocketed a pair of takeaways during top-25 battles against No. 6 York (Pa.) and No. 15 Rowan.

Piecing together a fitting punctuation mark to one of the finest careers in program history, Morrison has remained one of the nation's top standouts during a dynamic senior season. Splashing her name throughout the history books, she already has 47 caused turnovers, which leads the conference and ranks second on the school's all-time single-season charts. Incredibly, the Ashburn, Virginia native also boasts a league-high 102 draw controls. That ranks third in school lore.

Earning universal acclaim for her work during the year, Morrison was hailed as the USA Lacrosse National Player of the Week on February 17 and the IWLCA National Defensive Player of the Week on March 24. In addition to her defensive heroics, she also slots sixth in the league with 61 points. She has notched at least one point in 16 of her appearances, including nine in the league semifinals against Mary Washington on April 29.

A lethal force on the offensive end, O'Connor has helped anchor the attack throughout her junior season. Tormenting the opposition, she sits second in the league with 76 points and 62 goals. Her 62 strikes also place her eighth on the program's all-time single-season leaderboard. Lighting up the scoreboard with regularity, the Great Falls, Virginia native has 16 multi-goal efforts this year, including 14 hat-tricks. Those efforts include six-goal eruptions against Ursinus on March 14, Kenyon on March 29, and Randolph-Macon on April 15.

Honored as the league's Offensive Player of the Week on March 16 and April 21, O'Connor had a remarkable run of seven straight hat-tricks to begin the year, which equaled the second-longest streak in school history. Additionally, she has helped control possession during the season while slotting third on the squad with 45 draws, including nine against Haverford on March 11.

Orchestrating one of the finest defensive seasons in school history, Saia has suffocated the competition during a standout junior campaign. The third-year star currently has 44 caused turnovers, which ranks second in the league and third in program history. That total also marks the most by a defender in school lore. Meanwhile, the Monroeville, New Jersey native has also hauled in 32 ground balls. That is the ninth-highest total among conference competitors.

Starting all 18 games, Saia has forced at least one miscue in 16 contests, including 11 straight to open the season. That run included seven takeaways against Lynchburg on March 7. Just as effective later in the season, she has caused multiple turnovers in each of her last four outings, including five strips against Mary Washington in the league semifinals on April 29.

Taking her game to another level during her second year with the Captains, Sorkin has established herself as one of the finest finishers in the nation. Starring on the attack, the senior has 65 goals this year, which leads the conference and ranks fifth in program history. The Glen Allen, Virginia native has scored at least once in all 18 games, while her streak of 20 straight contests with a goal dating back to last season is tied for the sixth-longest run in school lore.

Among her highlights, Sorkin posted seven goals at No. 15 Rowan on April 4, which equaled the fifth-highest total in program history and the finest performance against a nationally-ranked foe. She was also hailed as the league's Offensive Player of the Week on February 23 after opening the year with three straight hat-tricks, while her current streak of 14 consecutive multi-goal efforts is the longest in school history.

Christopher Newport will return to action on Saturday at 1 p.m. when CNU travels to No. 3 Salisbury for the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Championship at Sea Gull Stadium.
