NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -
Christopher Newport University concludes the regular season schedule Saturday night at the Freeman Center, hosting the Sea Gulls of Salisbury University. It will be Senior Night, and tip off time is set for 7:00 p.m. The Captains, 19-4 and ranked tenth in the country this week, are coming off an 88-77 loss last Saturday at the University of Mary Washington. The defeat in Fredericksburg snapped an 11-game CNU winning streak. Salisbury, meanwhile, is 10-13 on the year, and the Gulls have dropped their last six games.

This will be the 57th meeting of the Captains and Sea Gulls, and Christopher Newport holds a 40-16 lead in the all-time series, and has won the last three games. Most recently, CNU recorded a 77-49 victory at Salisbury ten days ago. The Captains were led by junior Toa Hollenbeck and senior Collin Hines, who each scored 14 points. Junior Tyson Henderson also reached double digits with 12, and juniors Isaiah Dozier and Zyir Baskerville each added nine as CNU held the Sea Gulls to 32 percent shooting at the Maggs Center in Salisbury, Md.

The Captains can reach the 20-win plateau for the 11th straight season with a victory on Saturday, and the 25th time in the 58-year history of the program.

Fans planning on attending the game are encouraged to buy tickets in advance by clicking HERE. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m., and those coming to the Freeman Center are encouraged to arrive early as Senior Day ceremonies will begin shortly before 7:00 p.m. The Captains will honor their lone senior, Collin Hines, as well as three senior managers prior to tip off. There will also be a jersey retirement ceremony prior to the action.
