GALLOWAY, N.J. - Christopher Newport University junior guard Tyson Henderson was selected the Player of the Week in the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference on Friday prior to the start of the Stockton Classic. CNU will play Rowan at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, and then take on Stcokton University on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

Henderson was selected to the All-Classic team at the Freeman Center following his two-game performance in the Captains Shootout just before New Year's. Henderson scored a career-high 29 points in a CNU win over Hood College and followed with a 15-point performance in the Captains' victory over RIT. Henderson made 10-of-12 shots vs. the Blazers, including seven-of-nine from three-point range, and was 15-of-24 (62.5 percent) from the field in the two wins.

The Captains improved to 11-3 and have now won ten of their last 11 games heading into play in the new year. CNU will play a Rowan squad that is 2-8 so far this season, while Stockton is 5-5 and playing Widener University in the first game of the day Friday in the Stockton Classic.
