NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Christopher Newport University's
Jahn Hines has been selected to play in the 2025 NABC Division III College All-Star Game, which will be played this Saturday, March 22nd, at the Final Four in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The Division III All-Star Game, held in conjunction with the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship, features the top senior talent across Division III. Former Maryville Head Coach Randy Lambert and former DePauw Head Coach Bill Fenlon will serve as coaches for the two Division III All-Star teams.
Hines, from Norfolk, Va., recently completed his illustrious career at CNU, leading the Captains to the NCAA Tournament for the ninth straight season. Hines became just the second Christopher Newport player to reach the 2,000-point mark, and finished behind only Lamont Strothers on the school's all-time scoring list. Hines was named the Player of the Year in the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference for the third time this season, and has also been honored as an All-American three times. He became just the seventh Christopher Newport men's basketball player to ever have his jersey number retired when #22 was honored on Senior Day.
Hines, a product of Norview High School, led the Captains to an overall record of 104-19 (.846) during his career, which included the program's first National Championship in 2023. He averaged 19.9 points and 7.7 rebounds per contest this year as the Captains concluded the season with a 23-6 record and a trip to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Hines and his fellow All-Stars will play at 1:00 p.m. ET at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on Saturday.
