NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -
Christopher Newport University looks to get back on the winning track Saturday afternoon when the Captains host the Cougars of Kean University (N.J.). Tip off is set for 3:00 p.m. at the Freeman Center.

John Krikorian's squad is now 4-1 following a 74-71 home loss on Tuesday night to Hampden-Sydney. Kean enters Saturday's action with a 1-3 mark, and the Cougars are coming off a loss at home to NYU last Saturday, 76-58.

Fifth-year senior All-American Jahn Hines is expected to play in his 100th game as a Captain, and is currently averaging 17.2 points per game so far this season. Hines is currently tenth on the CNU all-time scoring list, and is just 13 points behind Davon Barton for the ninth spot on the list. CNU sophomore Toa Hollenbeck is also scoring 17.2 points per game over the first five games of the season.

Saturday's game will be just the second ever of the programs. Christopher Newport traveled to New Jersey last season just before Christmas break on December 19th and came away with a 67-55 victory at Kean. The Hines brothers both enjoyed big games for the Captains last year, with Collin Hines posting a team-high 16 points and nine rebounds off the bench. Jahn Hines recorded a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds against the Cougars.

Christopher Newport games are broadcast live on the Home of the Captains, Xtra 99.1 FM and CNUsports.com. The pre-game show will begin at 2:40 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Links to watch the live stream as well as to follow the live stats are provided at the top of this story, as well as a link to the CNU game notes package, with stats, team information and notes.

Following Saturday's action, the Captains will have one more game remaining before Thanksgiving, and will travel to Danville, Va., on Monday to take on another squad nicknamed the Cougars. CNU will play Averett University Monday night at the Grant Center, with tip time set for 7:00 p.m.
