ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. -- The nationally-ranked Christopher Newport men's tennis team went on the road and suffered a 7-2 setback at No. 19 N.C. Wesleyan on Saturday, picking up wins at No. 1 doubles and No. 5 singles.

Nesh Kumaresan continued their exceptional season in pairs play, improving to 8-1 overall at No. 1 doubles this season. The CNU duo captured a hard-fought 8-7 win over Albert Sitwell and Luca Knese in the bout against the Bishops.
Vincent Truong rallied from down a set to capture the only other point for CNU, winning over Augusto Roca at No. 5 singles by a final score of 3-6, 7-6, 1-0.
Christopher Newport dropped to 5-4 on the season while N.C. Wesleyan improved to 5-6 overall.
CNU will return to action this Friday, March 24 as they host Averett University at 2:30 p.m.
