Christopher Newport has won its last two games by seven points, most recently posting a 78-71 victory over Mary Washington Wednesday night at the Freeman Center. Sophomore
Jahn Hines led the way with 26 points, including 19 in the second half as the Captains came from behind to record the win.Â
"The atmosphere was electric Wednesday night and I hope we have the same kind of situation Saturday at the Freeman Center," Krikorian said. "Salisbury is a good team with plenty of seniors, so we'll definitely be tested again. It will be Senior Day so it will be a great opportunity for us to recognize some very special student-athletes who've done so much for our program. Our fans are terrific and being at home always gives us an extra edge."
Prior to tip off Saturday, three Captains will be honored during Senior Day ceremonies.
Jason Aigner,
Adrian Beasley, and
Darian Peterson will be playing in their final regular-season home game and will be recognized for their contributions to the program.
Salisbury enters Saturday's matinee with a 9-10 record on the season.
