Mackenzie Wright helped Christopher Newport to a 4-0 record last week and was honored on Monday as the Coast-to-Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Wright, contributed multiple blocks in all four matches last week. Wright blocked four attacks in a three-set win over Eastern Mennonite before blocking five against Randolph-Macon. She has at least one block in all 28 matches this season and is second in the conference with 82 total blocks.

Wright and the Captains will close out the regular season this week with a road match at St. Mary's this Wednesday ahead of two home matches this weekend.
