Reagan Delp picked up the lone victory for Christopher Newport in an 8-1 loss to ranked Johns Hopkins University on Sunday. The Captains completed the regular season with a 6-6 overall record and the Blue Jays improved to 8-0.
CNU trailed, 3-0, after doubles where Hopkins picked up wins of 8-2, 8-1, and 8-4 in order.
In singles, Delp took on Anjali Devireddy on the top line of competition and pulled out a 7-6 (7), 6-3 victory to get the Captains on the board.
Christopher Newport will now turn it's attention to postseason play as the Captains travel to Mary Washington for the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference Championship. CNU, the #2 seed in the tournament, will take on #3 Salisbury at 5:30 pm on May 7 in the semifinals.
