NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - With less than a week to go before the start of the 2021-2022 regular season, the Captains of Christopher Newport University will host an exhibition game on Saturday during Homecoming Weekend. John Krikorian's squad will entertain the Statesmen of Richard Bland College at the Freeman Center, with tipoff scheduled for 4:00 p.m.

Saturday's exhibition contest is open to the public with free admission, and fans are asked to wear a mask at all times inside the Freeman Center.

The Captains will open the new season next Friday, November 5, hosting Washington College (Md.) in a 7:00 p.m. start.
