Marcella Sabbagh all registered multi-goal efforts, while
Abby Asuncion added a goal and an assist. For their efforts, Ware was named the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, while Sabbagh was celebrated as the league's top defensive standout.
The nine-goal victory marked the ninth consecutive game in which Christopher Newport has registered at least three goals. That continues to stand as the longest active streak in the nation. Overall this season, the Captains are averaging 4.25 goals-per-game, which ranks 11th in the NCAA.
On an individual level, Asuncion is 20th in the country in goals-per-game (1.08) and 25th in points-per-game (2.42). The junior star also ranks first in the conference with 13 total goals and 29 points.

Lainey Pratzner is second on the conference's freshman scoring list with 11 points.
In addition to the high-flying freshman class, Christopher Newport has been equally bolstered by its collection of senior stars. In addition to Ware's offensive highlights,
Izzy Diz has continued to anchor the back line, while
Nyla Lewis has been a stabilizing force on the midfield unit. Aided by their efforts, the Captains have blanked their last two opponents while boasting five total shutouts this season.
Lynchburg enters Friday on a two-game roll, including a 14-0 win over Ferrum on Wednesday evening. Against the Panthers, Jackie Lerro erupted for three goals and a pair of assists, while Emily Dudley also had two strikes.
