NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Due to the forecast of impending winter weather Thursday and Friday, the Christopher Newport Department of Athletics has announced a change in this weekend's baseball schedule. No game will be played on Friday and the Captains will now take on Susquehanna University in a doubleheader on Saturday, February 22. First pitch for game one is slated for 11:00 a.m. 

The weekend was originally slated to include a Friday afternoon tilt against the River Hawks and a 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon battle with Penn State Harrisburg. 

The doubleheader now scheduled at Captains Park will be available live online in a video webcast at CNUsports.com/watch and live stats will also be available at CNUsports.com/sidearmstats/baseball. 

Christopher Newport is 3-3 to start the season coming off an 8-0 win over Eastern Mennonite University on Wednesday afternoon. Susquehanna will be opening their season at Captains Park with the twin bill.
