So far this season, Culver ranks second in the CAC with 14 goals, while Ready is second with 44 saves and a .518 save percentage. Meanwhile, on a national level,

Samantha Wettengel also has four helpers this year, while
Tess D'Arcy and
Katie Orrison have dished out three apiece.
On the other side of the field, Washington & Lee has faced a challenging early-season slate, including a 12-8 loss to No. 6 Salisbury on Saturday. Against the Sea Gulls, the Generals used a late push to inch within two with four minutes remaining, but SU responded with the final two strikes to seal the victory. Dani Murray led W&L with three goals, while Hannah Wiltshire made 11 saves. Jess Castelo also helped control possession with a team-high five draw controls.
Through four games, Castelo leads Washington & Lee with nine points, while Mimi MacCowatt has seven goals. Defensively, Riley Garcia has five caused turnovers, while Giddings Harrison has four to go along with eight ground balls. Between the pipes, Wiltshire has compiled a .557 save percentage and an 8.30 goals-against-average.
Wednesday's game marks the 11th all-time meeting between the two programs. Washington & Lee currently leads the series, 9-1, including a 7-5 win in Newport News last year.
Following the midweek battle, Christopher Newport will return to action on Saturday when the squad hosts Meredith at 4 p.m.
