With a 2-0 win at home last season, the Captains pulled within one game of evening the all-time series at .500 as the Spartans own a slight 6-5-5 advantage in the matchup. Since joining the Capital Athletic Conference, the record is 1-1-3, with only one shutout between the two teams.
So far this saeson, the Captains are 4-2-0 and are coming off a 4-2 victory against Virginia Wesleyan University on Wednesday night. The CNU offense has been dangerous all season long, averaging 3.67 goals per game with one of the league's top weapons leading the charge in senior

Defensively, the Captains are still working through some shifts in the back line, with four different starting lineups in the first six games. Sophomore
Derek Cook has been the only starter for all six games on the back line, while junior
Bobby Seifert and senior
Zach Douglass have each missed one game this year.
York (Pa.) comes in with one of the top rookies in the league leading the team in scoring through the first seven games. Zion Friday has scored two goals and chipped in three assists for a team-high seven points, while also leading the team in total shots with 21.
