A LOOK AT THE CAPTAINS
A year after leading the country in free-position percentage, Christopher Newport ranks among the NCAA leaders once again as the team sits 23rd nationally and first in the CAC with a .583 mark. On an individual level,
Sarah Culver has a team-high seven eight-meter goals, while

Lindsay Weaver is also a perfect 3-for-3 on free-position shots this year.
Along with her work on eight-meter attempts, Galvin sits fifth in the NCAA with 18 assists and 12th with 32 points. Her 4.67 draw controls-per-game also place her first in the CAC. Entering the week, she is just eight goals away from the 150th of her career, while she sits eight assists shy of 100. She is looking to join Meghan Harkey as the only players in program history with 100 career goals and 100 career assists.
Also on the offensive side, Culver leads the team with 17 goals, and
Catie Chess sits third with 10 this year. Meanwhile, on the defensive end,
Tess D'Arcy has a team-high nine caused turnovers, while
Mackenzie Regen and
Katie Gaskin have each forced six apiece. In the crease,
Kaitlyn Ready has started the last three games and sports a .412 save percentage and an 8.95 goals-against-average.
SCOUTING THE YELLOW JACKETS
Randolph-Macon has won its last two games and already boasts a pair of wins against CAC members this season after toppling Frostburg State and No. 19 St. Mary's (Md). In the squad's upset victory over the Seahawks last week, Alicia Hsieh posted seven goals, while Alex Lightfoot dished out seven assists to pace the attack. Allie Walker also contributed 16 saves in her first start of the season.
Overall this season, Lightfoot ranks sixth in the nation with 17 assists, while Hsieh's 5.50 goals-per-game average is the fifth-highest in the NCAA. Jamie Langbein has also started twice and has a .457 save percentage.
