NEWPORT NEWS, Va.- Saturday promises to be a big day at the Freeman Center as the Captains of Christopher Newport host the Pride of Greensboro College. In addition to the 4 p.m. USA South Athletic Conference game, Christopher Newport will also induct four new members into the CNU Athletic Hall of Fame.
The 25th Hall of Fame Class will consist of former football standouts Roland Hilliard and Rob Rodriguez, longtime track & field assistant coach
Louis Johnson, and former men's basketball player Shewin Green. The quartet will be honored at halftime at the Freeman Center.
Christopher Newport has won four straight games and 10 of its last 11. The Captains lead the USA South with an 8-1 conference record to go with their 15-2 overall mark.
John Krikorian's squad has been off since winning over Methodist last Saturday, 78-57. CNU is now 11-0 at the Freeman Center this year, and the Captains have won 28 of their last 30 home games dating back to the 2010-11 season.
CNU defeated Greensboro at Hanes Gymnasium in Greensboro, 90-60, on January 6th. Sophomore
Nik Biberaj led the way with 22 points while junior
Tra Benefield added 18. The triumph was the 13th straight for the Captains over the Pride in the series.

The game will be broadcast live on the CNU/Pepsi Radio Network (Xtra 99.1 FM), with the pre-game show beginning at 3:40 p.m.
