NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Christopher Newport (5-1-2) will take on the Seahawks of St. Mary's College (3-6) on Wednesday night, with a 7:00 pm kickoff at Captains Field. The Captains enter the weekday tilt with a three-game winning streak and six-game unbeaten streak.

CNU has been led by Jalon Brown with a total of five goals and three assists so far, earning USA South Player of the Week honors after a pair of gamewinners last week. The Captains pulled out wins over Lynchburg, 2-1, and Maryville, 2-0 last week, as Brown was helped offensively by seniors Andrew Bonorden and Sean Moriarty. So far this season, Bonorden has scored four goals while Moriarty has added a pair out of the defensive midfield. Defensively, CNU's junior keeper Sean Killion has paced CNU with 22 saves and a 0.80 goals against average.

St. Mary's has opened the season with a 3-6 mark and is coming off a 2-1 win over Wesley. Led by seniors Ryan Plaisance (4g, 2a) and Frank VanGessel (2g, 1a), the Seahawks offense has been aggressive, taking nearly 12 shots per game.
