NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- All 11 Christopher Newport players earned a victory on a sunny Wednesday afternoon as the Captains shut out Shenandoah 9-0 in men's tennis.
CNU improved to 10-5, 4-1 in the USA South Athletic Conference, and will finish its league schedule with a Saturday match at Methodist in Fayetteville, N.C.
Eric Shulman, listed No. 4 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III singles rankings, was the only CNU man to play singles and doubles. He teamed with reigning USA South Player of the Week 
Dusty Nelson for an 8-0 victory over Dustan DeMello and Michael Milanov at No. 1 doubles, then defeated Milanov 6-2, 6-2 in singles.

Whaling overcame a 4-1 first-set deficit at No. 5 to beat Vladimir Daskalov 6-4, 6-1. Yost, a junior, won 6-0, 6-2 to improve to 5-0 this season and 10-1 in his career in dual-match singles.
