Kaitlin Quigley was recognized as the Division III Offensive Player of the Week by Synapse Sports after leading the Captains past LaGrange, Agnes Scott and Lynchburg. The Captains are currently 4-0 and will host Greensboro College on Saturday at 1:00 pm on Captains Field.
Quigley tallied 21 points on 13 goals and eight assists this week. In a 22-2 victory over USA South foe LaGrange, Quigley totaled four goals, three assists, one ground ball, one caused turnover and one draw control.
In a 22-0 win over USA South rival Agnes Scott, Quigley contributed four goals, one assist, one groundball and one draw control.
Finally, in a 14-11 win over Lynchburg, Quigley scored five goals, dished out two assists, collected four draw controls, grabbed two ground balls and caused one turnover.
Quigley was also named the USA South Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts.
Saturday will be the 18th time the Pride and the Captains have met with CNU leading the series 11-6. The Captains' last win came in the USA South Tournament championship game in 2010 where the Captains won 19-9.
The Captains and Pride have both played Lynchburg this year with CNU winning 14-11 and Greensboro falling 9-15.
