NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- After the rest of the league wrapped up their schedules on Friday, the 2011 USA South Regular Season Championship will come down to a winner-takes-all make-up game featuring CNU against Shenandoah University at 7pm tonight. Shenandoah leads the league with a school-record 13-5 record, including a 7-1 mark in USA South play, while the Captains are 8-7-1, posting a 6-1-1 mark in conference play.
The game, originally scheduled for September 25 but postponed due to inclement weather, will kick off at Captains Field at 7:00 pm.

The 2011 regular season championship will net the winner the top seed in next week's USA South Tournament, with first round games held at the higher seed, followed by the semifinals and championship in Martinsville, Va. The top four seeds have already been set, but positioning will be determined by tonight's contest:
If CNU Wins vs. Shenandoah:
CNU: 7-1-1 (22 pts - #1 seed)
SU: 7-2-0 (21 pts - #2 seed with tiebreak over AU)
AU: 7-2-0 (21 pts - #3 seed)
GC: 6-2-1 (19 pts - #4 seed)
If SU Wins vs. CNU:
SU: 8-1-0 (24 pts - #1 seed)
AU: 7-2-0 (21 pts - #2 seed)
GC: 6-2-1 (19 pts - #3 seed with tiebreak over CNU)
CNU: 6-2-1 (19 pts - #4 seed)
If CNU and SU tie:
SU: 7-1-1 (22 pts - #1 seed)
AU: 7-2-0 (21 pts - #2 seed)
CNU: 6-1-2 (20 pts - #3 seed)
GC: 6-2-1 (19 pts - #4 seed)
The Captains have assured themselves a home game in the first round, and will play at home on Tuesday at 7:00 pm, but their opponent and seeding will be determined in Saturday night's game against the Hornets.
Shenandoah has enjoyed one of the program's best all-time seasons, including breaking the school record for wins with 13. The Hornets are led by Jessie Dennis with 16 points (6g, 4a) and Amber Womack with 13 points (5g, 3a). Kat Terza has started 14 games in goal for SU, posting a 0.77 goals against average.
CNU has been led by sophomore forward
Emma O'Reilly, scoring 15 points on seven goals and one assist. Junior middie
Dani Gunderson returned to action after an injury and scored a goal Friday against N.C. Wesleyan, and is second on the team with 13 points on 4 goals and 5 assists.
