LYNCHBURG, Va. -- The Christopher Newport University women's soccer team held 12th-ranked Lynchburg College (16-2-1) to just one goal for over sixty minutes, but the Hornets broke through twice in four minutes in the second half for the 3-0 win.

CNU falls to 7-7-1 overall this year with the setback and will wrap up the regular season with a pair of conference games this weekend.

Lynchburg opened the scoring in just the ninth minute of action when Dessi Dupuy headed in a score off a corner kick for the eventual gamewinner.
