GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Christopher Newport men's basketball team heads out on the road for USA South action this weekend, starting with a 4:00 pm tilt against the Greensboro Pride (7-7, 1-2). CNU enters the game 9-5 overall, with a 2-1 mark in league play, winning four of their last five overall.
CNU is coming off a huge league win, as they dropped the #22 Ferrum Panthers last weekend by a final of 80-67. Junior

Mike Green have led the Captains of late, as Taylor is one of the nation's premier scorers and Green is coming off one of the best weeks in his career. Taylor's averaging 23.8 points per game, while Green is adding 16.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game so far this season.
The two veteran leaders are joined by rookie
Tra Benefield as the Captains go-to scorers. Benefield is averaging 15.9 points and a team-high 7.9 rebounds.
The Captains face a Greensboro College team that is 7-7 overall this season, led by Daren Dexter up front. Dexter leads the pride in scoring and rebounding, with 14.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
