CNU Football Starts USA South Play at Shenandoah This Saturday Night

Kick-off is at 7 pm in Winchester this Saturday

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- The Christopher Newport football team (0-3) returns to action this Saturday after a bye week, as they travel to Shenandoah University (0-3). The game will kick-off at 7 pm in Winchester, as the two teams open league play.

Last time out, the Captains were led by seniors T.J. Foster (Randolph, Va.), with a career-high 196 yards receiving, and Keith Gaines (Roanoke, Va.) with a career-high 140 yards on the ground.

The all-time series between CNU and Shenandoah is advantage Captains, 6-3. CNU has won five straight including a double overtime thriller at POMOCO Stadium last season.

Shenandoah is off to an 0-3 start and have been led offensively by junior QB Daniel Wright. Senior wide receiver Rico Wallace is averaging 120 yards receiving for the Hornets.
