Box Score VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The Christopher Newport University field hockey team earned their seventh win of the season as they defeated Virginia Wesleyan College at the National Training Center in Virginia Beach, Va. The win improves CNU to 7-1 and drops Virginia Wesleyan to 0-8.

The Captains got off to a slow start but once Caitlin Cahill (Virginia Beach, Va.) got the first goal the rest started pouring in. Like she has done several times for the Captains she dribbled into the circle and ripped a shot putting the ball past the goalkeeper on the right post.

Kylie Cale (Chester, Va.) got her first two goals of the season tonight. She was the only Captain to score more than one goal as eight different players scored. Also scoring for the first time this season was Jordan Snider (Newport News, Va.), Corey Rigby (Falmouth, Mass.) and Hilary St. Mary (Yorktown, Va.).

The Captains travel to Lexington, Va. to take on Washington and Lee University on Sunday at 3:00pm.
