Box Score NEWPORT NEWS, VA -  CNU women's lacrosse move to 3-0 in USA South action with a 22-2 win over Ferrum College. Kaitlin Quigley led the Captains in scoring with five goals with freshman, Alexandra Smith, following closely with four.

The Captains opened the scoring at 24:44 in the first half and followed with another goal at 21:54. Ferrum scored their first goal at 20:48. The Captains scored the next six goals with Ferrum then scoring their second, and last, goal of the game at 14:24 in the first half.

The Captains continued their attack netting five more goals in the first half making it a 13-2 halftime score. Rachel Tomlinson scored in the first minute of play in the second half and CNU continued with eight more goals giving the Captains the solid, 22-2, victory.

CNU led in shots with 35, groundballs with 21 and draw controls with 18.

Gayle Robinson had four saves in the game with 40 minutes of play.

The win improves CNU to 4-2 and drops Ferrum to 5-2.
