Box Score GREENSBORO, NC – CNU women's lacrosse edges Greensboro in USA South Action today, 12-11, with eight different players adding goals for the Captains who improve to 2-2 on this season and 2-0 in conference play while Greensboro suffers their second loss of the season and drop to 5-2.

The scoring was started by CNU at 28:35 and continued to go back and forth until the end of the first half where the score was tied at 6-6. The Captains scored the first goal in the second half and eventually built their lead to 3 at 23:48. But Greensboro battled back with three quick goals to even the score at nine with 22 minutes remaining.

The next 11 minutes of play went by without a goal from either team until CNU scored on a free position shot to go up 10-9. At 7:05 the score was tied again with both teams having 11 goals.

With 11 seconds left in play the Captains was granted a free position which they took full advantage of with a shot and goal by Meghan Harkey to win the game 12-11.

Gayle Robinson had eight saves on the day in goal for the Captains.
