NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- The freshly ranked Christopher Newport University Captains (4-1) travel to 14th ranked St. Mary's College (Md.) (3-1) for a battle of Top 25 teams at 7:00 pm. CNU is coming off a win of the CNU Point Plaza Invitational last weekend and rank 25th according to D3Hoops.com.

Tonight's game will be broadcast live on the Christopher Newport/Pepsi Radio Network (Xtra 99.1 FM) with the pre-game show beginning at 6:30 pm. Fans can also listen to the game live on Captains Sports Live (www.cnusports.com).

The Seahawks reached the NCAA Second Round last year and are off to a 3-1 start this season. Alex Franz leads the squad with 15.5 points, 5.3 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game. Sam Burum and Mike Fitzpatrick are also averaging double figures for St. Mary's College.

Christopher Newport has been led by junior guard Conley Taylor and rookie Tra Benefield. Taylor, playing in 38 minutes per game, is averaging 23.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. Benefield is posting 14.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game in his first season. Senior Mike Green is leading CNU on the glass, with 7.2 rebounds per game.
