NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The NCAA released the regional rankings for the first time this year and CNU was top on the list for the South Region. CNU has earned a 19-0 in-region record and an overall record of 25-2. Also in the top eight for the South Region were 2010 opponents Washington and Lee, Southwestern, Randolph-Macon and Trinity.
The Captains host N.C. Wesleyan in the Freeman Center on Thursday at 6:30pm. This is the second match this season with CNU coming out on top 3-1 on September 22 in Rocky Mount, N.C.. The Battling Bishops are the only team in the USA South to take a set from the Captains.
The series between the Battling Bishops and Captains stands at 50-18 with the Captains winning the last 23 matches.
