Box Score NEWPORT NEWS, VA - The Christopher Newport Field Hockey team improved to 7-2 on Sunday afternoon as they beat Eastern Mennonite 2-0.

   The Captains got on the board in the 21st minute when Annie Gehring fired a shot off a rebound past keeper Becky Nolt to give the Captains the only goal they would need. CNU would receive an additional goal in the second half from Taylor Harrell in the 49th minute.

   With the win the Captains improve to 7-2 on the season.

   The Captains will return to action on Wednesday October 7th when they host Bridgewater College at 5pm.
