NEWPORT NEWS, VA - The Christopher Newport Women's Volleyball team defeated both Greensboro and Methodist on Saturday 3-0 in both matches.

   In the first match the Captains took down Methodist 3-0 with scores of 25-16, 25-21 and 25-16. They were led by Kara Elder with 10 kills and Jessie Heavenrich with 15 assists. 

   In the second match the Captains defeated Greensboro 3-0 with scores of 25-18, 25-14 and 25-23. Elder recorded 11 kills and Heavenrich tallied 17 assists.

   With the wins the Captains improve to 17-3 and 10-0 in the conference.

   The Captains will return to action Tuesday when they host North Carolina Wesleyan at 5:00pm in the Freeman Center.
