Volleyball Splits Two Saturday Contests

  LEXINGTON, Va. - The CNU volleyball team split a pair of matches at Washington & Lee Saturday, dropping a five-set decision to the host Generals before scoring a 3-1 win over Roanoke.

  CNU fell to Washington & Lee, 14-25, 25-16, 21-25, 25-20, 11-15, as Chelsea McClure and Kara Elder led the way with 11 kills each. Abby Hogge had 22 digs and Elder 16.

  In the next match, the Captains topped Roanoke, 25-16, 25-21, 24-26, 25-10, as Elder added 13 more kills and Caitlyn Jansen had 10. Elder also paced CNU in digs with 22.

  The Captains are now 25-4 and will host Mary Baldwin in a doubleheader Wednesday at the Freeman Center beginning at 5.
