NEWPORT NEWS, VA- The #1 ranked Christopher Newport Men's Soccer team won their ninth straight game by defeating the Shenandoah Hornets 4-0.

   The Captains got on the board quickly as Sam Venker scored 3:59 into the game off a pass from Andrew Bonorden. Venker also set up the Captains' next goal when he dropped a pass into Nao Masuda who was able to put the Captains up 2-0.

   The Captains would also receive goals from Winston Mattheisen and Michael Zimmerman before the first half was over to complete their scoring.

   With the win the Captains imrpove to 12-1 overall and 3-0 in the USA SOUTH.
 
   CNU will return to action next Wednesday when they travel to Salisbury. That game is scheduled to start at 3:30 pm.
