Rob Silsbee joined the athletic department at Christopher Newport in 2010, and serves as the Sports Information Director for the 24-sport program. Silsbee and his staff are responsible for the department's website, CNUsports.com, as well as the publications, statistics, and media relations for CNU's highly-successful athletic teams.
Silsbee is a 2005 graduate of Christopher Newport with a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies. A product of Quantico High School in Quantico, Va., he first worked as a student assistant in the CNU Athletic Communications Office from 2002-2005. Following his graduation, he accepted a position at Old Dominion University in Norfolk as Assistant Sports Information Director, where he worked from 2006-2010 before returning to his alma mater.
Silsbee and his wife Lauren, also a CNU graduate, reside in Newport News with their sons Nolan and Oliver.
