Joelie Erwin begins her first year as a team manager with the Christopher Newport field hockey program after spending the previous two seasons on the field with the Captains.

Prior to making a transition to the sidelines, Erwin appeared in 26 games from 2022-23. As a member of the team, she helped lead the Captains to two straight NCAA Tournament appearances and the 2023 Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Championship.

Before arriving in Newport News, Erwin was an All-Region performer at Hickory High School in Chesapeake where she served as a team captain.
