Christopher Newport University

Dr. Kip Redick is Christopher Newport's NCAA Faculty Representative, and has been a member of the CNU faculty since 1991. He is the Chair of the Department of Philosophy, and former President of the Faculty Senate.

Redick received his bachelor of arts in Philosophy from Christopher Newport, and then earned his master's in Biblical Studies and doctorate in Communication Studies from Regent University. He also attended Palomar College in California.

Redick spent his youth in Julian and Encinitas, California, as well as Poquoson, Va. He is a Marine Corps veteran and has hiked the Appalachian Trail

Redick lives in Carrollton with his wife, Sarah. The have a daughter, Caroline, who is a Ph.D. candidate at Marquette University  in theology. They also have a son, Caleb, who is a master's student at Purdue University in forest biology and environmental restoration.
