Assistant Coach Kellyn DeChirico enters her first season on the staff for the 2019 season after completing a four-year career and graduating in the spring from Christopher Newport with a degree in Biology.
DeChirico played in 52 matches and 130 sets over her four-year career to go with 175 kills, 74 total blocks, and 224 points. She had her finest season as a senior, playing in 24 matches and 77 sets, contributing 115 kills, a .209% hitting percentage, 19 digs, nine solo blocks, 62 total blocks and 150.5 points. She posted a career-high of 10 points on three occasions her senior season, including twice in the post season in the CAC Championship game vs. Mary Washington and in the NCAA second round vs. Thomas More. Additionally, she recorded six blocks in the CAC title game.
