2019-20 - Senior Season:
Cross Country - Nabbed first-team All-Conference accolades following a starring role at the CAC Championships … Finished third at the league meet in the 6k with a time of 25:06.7, which helped the Captains capture the team crown … Continued her impressive run at the end of the year with a clocking of 23:06.4 at the NCAA South / Southeast Regionals, which placed her 36th in the field … Came through with a new personal-best in the 6k at the Paul Short Run after finishing in 22:52.2 … Also added a PR in the 5k (20:11.1) at the William & Mary Invitational … Took part in the Connecticut College Invitational as well … Also earned USTFCCCA National All-Academic honors for her work in the classroom.
Track & Field - Collected points in a pair of events during the CAC Indoor Championships after coming in fifth in the 5000 (19:07.96) and sixth in the 3000 (10:58.14) … Added her fastest time in the 5000 at the Camel City Invitational after crossing the line in 18:42.47 … Completed the mile in 5:30.64 at the CNU Holiday Open, which placed her third in the field … Registered four top-10 efforts during the year, including three top-five showings.

2018-19 - Junior Season:
Cross Country - Secured second-team All-Conference accolades for her efforts during the year ... Placed 10th at the CAC Championships after finishing the 6k in 24:46.4 ... Posted her top clocking of the season at the Paul Short Run after completing the course in 23:54.1 ... Registered a top-50 showing at the NCAA South / Southeast Regionals after coming in 50th in 24:38.9 ... Had a pair of top-five finishes during the year after finishing fourth at the CNU Invitational 3k (11:49.2) and fifth in the UMW Opener 4k (15:51.0) ... Also competed in the KollegeTown Pre-Nationals with a 24:09.0 clocking ... Picked up USTFCCCA National All-Academic honors for her work in the classroom as well.
Track & Field - Came through with a pair of top-10 finishes at the CAC Championships ... Finished fourth in the outdoor 5000 (19:19.86) after placing eighth in the indoor race (19:25.02) ... Also registered an 11th-place showing in the indoor mile at the title meet after crossing the line in 5:47.31 ... Tallied her fastest time in the 5000 during the Camel City Invitational with an 18:26.37 clocking ... That effort earned her the CAC Track Athlete of the Week honor on February 5 ... Boasted six top-10 finishes during the season, including a victory in the mile (5:22.77) during the Captains Invitational.

2017-18 - Sophomore Season:
Cross Country - Came through with her top time in the 6k during the South / Southeast Regionals after crossing the line in 23:38.0, which placed her 73rd in the field ... Came in 42nd at the CAC Championships after crossing in 26:02.0 ... Had her top finish of the year during the Mary Washington Opener after coming in eighth in the 4k (15:26.7) ... Took part in the 6k during the Paul Short Run and Cowbell Classic as well.
Track & Field - Picked up All-Conference honors in the Outdoor 5000 and 10,000 ... Was the runner-up in both events at the CAC Championships after finishing the 5000 in 18:33.98 and the 10,000 in 40:34.45 ... Had her top time in the 5000 during the Colonial Relays after clocking in at 17:58.92 ... Chipped in with three top-10 finishes during the CAC Indoor Championships ... Placed third in the mile (5:22.75), fifth in the 5000 (19:12.65), and sixth in the 3000 (11:03.53) ... Had her finest clocking in the mile during the Vince Brown Invitational after finishing in 5:19.41 ... Added her top mark in the 3000 (10:46.24) during the Liberty Kickoff and her fastest showing in the 5000 (18:59.22) during the Captains Invitational ... Had seven top-five finishes during the year.

2016-17 - Freshman Season:
Cross Country - Finished 58th at the CAC Championships with a time of 27:18.8 in the 6k … Added her top time at that distance with a 24:22.6 mark during the Paul Short Run.
Track & Field - Came in eighth in the 10,000 during the CAC Outdoor Championships after clocking in at 42:09.11 … Added a PR in the 3000 (11:33.07) and mile (5:38.72) during the CNU Holiday Open … Took part in the 1500 during the year as well, highlighted by her top clocking of 5:10.58 during the New Captains Classic.

At Cosby - Excelled as a member of the cross country and track & field teams for the Titans … Was a 13-time All-Conference performer for her efforts in both sports … Earned All-State accolades as a member of the indoor and outdoor 4x800 relay … Also was a five-time All-Region honoree for her performance on the indoor and outdoor track teams … Set a meet record and won the 6A South Regional championship in the 4x800.
 
Personal - Samantha Jo Dickerson is the daughter of Mark and Melanie Dickerson … Has a younger sister, Mia … Brenda Martinez is her favorite athlete, and Beyoncé is the person in history she would most like to meet … “The Office” is her favorite TV show, and wings and nachos are her favorite foods … Her goal in life is to be happy … Majoring in American Studies.
