Danielle Moore

Danielle Moore is entering her first season as a member of the Christopher Newport coaching staff in 2022-23. The Williamsburg, Va. native joins the CNU sideline after moving back home in 2019 and has been a teaching pro at Kingsmill Resort and McCormack Nagelsen where Moore grew up playing as a junior.

She started her coaching career in Richmond back in 2014 as the Director of Racquet Sports at Westwood Club and went on to teach at other Richmond area clubs including Kanawha and ACAC, and also served as the head coach for the Glen Allen HS Girls Varsity Tennis team. 

As a junior player, Moore was part of the 14 & Under team for the 1998 AAU Junior Olympic Games at Huntington Park. Danielle attended Walsingham Academy and after making the varsity tennis team as an 8th grader, she went on to play No. 1 by her sophomore year. As a freshman she earned All-Conference second team honors in singles, second team All-District in singles, and second team All-District in doubles. 

She is certified by the Professional Tennis Registry in 10 & Under Tennis, Junior Development (Ages 11-17), Performance, and Adult Development. 

Prior to working in tennis, Moore was an Event Planner and has planned, coordinated, and executed over 1k events relating to the sports and entertainment industry. 

Moore graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Sports & Entertainment Management in 2007.Â
