Named the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week on February 20 for that eruption ... Came back with seven caused turnovers in her very next appearance against No. 8 Washington & Lee on February 22 ... 2021 - Freshman Season - Burst onto the scene while placing herself among the top defensive players in the conference … Was one of only two freshmen in the league to earn All-Conference accolades after securing second-team plaudits for her work during the season … Led all first-year competitors in the league with 18 caused turnovers, 24 ground balls, and 18 starts … Her 18 takeaways also placed her eighth among all players in the conference and marked the third-highest total by a freshman in school history … Forced four turnovers in a win over No. 23 Lynchburg on March 24 … That total was the third-most by a freshman in program lore … Came back with an epic postseason run, registering three caused turnovers in the Coast-to-Coast Conference Semifinals at No. 24 Mary Washington on April 28 before adding two more in the title bout at No. 4 Salisbury on May 1 … Honored with a spot on the All-Tournament Team for that performance, becoming the first freshman in league history to earn that honor … Posted at least one caused turnover in 10 of her appearances, including the final four outings of the year … Had one takeaway in a bout against No. 4 Washington & Lee on March 13 and added another one in a showdown with No. 17 Mary Washington on March 27 … Continued her starring role against nationally-ranked competition with three ground balls during the team’s win over No. 20 St. Mary’s (Md.) on March 31 … Scooped up at least two rollers in eight of her appearances … Also added 15 draw controls during the year, including five at Meredith on April 20 ...
