Eleanor Beckmeyer joins the Christopher Newport women's lacrosse program as an assistant coach after transitioning to the sidelines following a standout playing career with the Captains from 2021-24.

During her time on the field, Beckmeyer established herself as one of the finest draw control specialists in program history. A reliable presence in the center of the turf, she finished her career ranked 12th in school history with 123 draw controls. Equally adept on the offensive end, she produced 22 goals, including 11 during her sophomore season.

A key figure during one of the finest stretches in program history, Beckmeyer helped guide the Captains to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances, including a run to the third round of the national playoffs as a senior in 2024. Stepping up under the bright lights, she helped lead CNU to eight victories over nationally-ranked competition during her career while earning a place on the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference All-Tournament Team in 2023 for her postseason heroics.

Just as impressive off the field, Beckmeyer was a four-time Academic All-Conference selection as a mathematics major. She also received a spot on the IWLCA National Academic Honor Roll before graduating from Christopher Newport in the spring of 2024.
