Catie Chess

Former star Catie Chess returns to the CNU women’s lacrosse program as an assistant coach after wrapping up a standout playing career with the Captains in 2018.

One of the most accomplished midfielders in program history, Chess was a two-time first-team All-State and All-Region selection. She also brought home All-Conference honors during each of her first three years with the Captains, including first-team plaudits as a sophomore and junior.

Well respected both on and off the field, Chess served as a team captain during both her junior and senior campaigns. A lethal offensive threat, she wrapped up her tenure ranked among the program’s all-time top-10 with 123 career goals and 29 free-position strikes.

Chess graduated in May with a Bachelor’s degree in communication studies and will also serve as a University Fellow in the Office of Admission during the 2018-19 school year.
