Former CNU standout Alyssa Burke joins the Christopher Newport coaching staff for her first season on the sidelines in 2014.

An outstanding player for the Captains, Burke helped guide the squad to four consecutive USA South Championships during her tenure from 2007-10. In addition to the team’s accomplishments, she was a two-time All-Conference honoree and picked up All-State accolades during her senior campaign as well. She still ranks among the program’s all-time leaders in draw controls and games played.

Burke eventually received her degree in communications from CNU in 2010.
