Christopher Newport University

Marycruz is entering her fifth year with the Sports Medicine team at Christopher Newport University as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. She will be working with the Captains' Men's and Women's Soccer, Men’s Lacrosse, and Men's and Women's Golf teams. 

A Northern Virginia native, Marycruz obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from George Mason University. While at GMU, she obtained NCAA Division III, public and private high school experience. She worked at The Catholic University of America where she assisted with football, women's soccer, men's and women's basketball and men's and women's lacrosse and University of Mary Washington where she assisted with men's and women's lacrosse. 

Marycruz is working toward a Master of Science degree in Athletic Training at Old Dominion University. She is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), a Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT) in Virginia, and is also a member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association.
