Christopher Newport University

Tyanka Lee was added to the Christopher Newport coaching staff for her first season in 2018-19 and returns for her second year in 2019-20. She came to CNU after a three-year stint as an assistant coach with the Menchville High School girl's basketball team. Her coaching experience also extends to the Boo Williams Lady Vikings 17U AAU squad in 2012-13, and she was also the head coach of the Dallas Lady Diesel semi-professional basketball club in 2012. 

A four-year starter for the Saint Paul's College Women's Basketball team, Lee would also go on to play for the Lady Diesel from 2009-11. She graduated with a degree in Biology from Saint Paul's in 2007 and would go on to earn her Master of Education in Kinesiology from Dallas Baptist University in 2012. She also recently completed a second Master's degree, in Sports Management, from Old Dominion University.
